Biography
Sarah represents businesses, employers, and healthcare professionals in a broad range of litigation matters, including general civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, and workers' compensation. She also advises employers on labor and employment issues, with particular experience involving the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employee benefits, workplace accommodations, and regulatory compliance.
Sarah brings a distinctive perspective to her practice through her extensive background in corporate human resources and employee benefits leadership. Her experience includes managing employee benefits, leave administration, and disability accommodations across multiple affiliated business entities, as well as overseeing the management of workers' compensation claims nationwide. She regularly advised on complex FMLA and ADA issues, including leave eligibility, accommodation requests, and return-to-work decisions. Her experience also includes negotiating contracts with insurance carriers and third-party administrators, resolving insurance coverage disputes, overseeing regulatory compliance initiatives, and participating in financial oversight and retirement plan administration.
Sarah's litigation practice includes extensive representation of employers before the Ohio Industrial Commission and in state and federal courts throughout Ohio. Having represented parties on both sides of the workers' compensation system, she brings a comprehensive perspective to claims evaluation, litigation strategy, and dispute resolution. Her combined litigation and corporate experience gives her firsthand insight into the legal, financial, and operational challenges organizations face, allowing her to provide practical, business-focused counsel tailored to her clients' objectives.
In addition to her legal practice, Sarah is committed to professional and community leadership.
